The First Annual Baltimore BBS Poll
* What BBS's are the most popular in the Baltimore area?
Well let's find out, but how? The best way is to ask the
people that call BBS's, hence, this poll.
* What boards are eligible? Any BBS that has appeared in at
least 1 copy of Blase's Baltimore BBS List since July 1st,
1992, but because I will be counting the ballots, it is
only fair that my own system not be included. So no votes
for Modem Ready the RBBS will be counted. You can vote for
MR, but they won't be posted.
* Who can vote? Anyone that wants to, but only once.
* How do you vote? On the form below; There are 2 ways you
can submit your ballot;
1. You can upload the completed ballot with your name on
it to:
Modem Ready the RBBS 410-360-8007
2. You can print the ballot, fill it out, and mail it to:
BALTIMORE BBS POLL
8047 High Point Road
Baltimore, MD 21226-2020
* When does the poll close? No ballot POSTMARKED after, or
uploaded after JUNE 30, 1993 will be counted.
* Where will the results be posted? The Results of the poll
will be included with the August issue of Blase's Baltimore
BBS List. It will consist of a list of every BBS that
received a vote, ranked by the number of points they
received.
* How are points awarded? If you rank a board #1, it gets 10
points, If John Doe ranks it #6, it gets 5 points, now it
has 15 points. When all the ballots are totalled, the
board with the most points is #1. Yes, there can be ties.
* What's the prize? There is no prize awarded in this poll,
and no money is involved, unless you mail your ballot, then
YOU have to buy your stamp.
* Can a SysOp vote for his/her own board? Yes, but I will
not be voting for any board for the same reasons my board
will not be in the poll.
* What do you hope to accomplish by this? As far as I know,
it's never been done and I'd be interested in seeing the
results, as I'm sure many others would. It should
definitely help bring Blase's list up-to-date. other than
that, I don't know, just seemed like fun to try.
* What if I disagree with the results? You can disagree, but
that won't change them. Only ballots uploaded or mailed to
ME will count, and only I will count them. Ballots with no
names on them will not be counted, and I will keep track of
the names to prevent duplicates. Other than that, I can
only promise to try to keep the poll as honest as I can.
What if I what to vote for a new system, not yet on the
list? Then the sysop of that system has the May and the
June listings to get in to be eligible. Information about
the system should be sent to Brad Blase at;
Silver Streak BBS 410-683-1583
